Our Artists Collective

Our Artists Collective includes singers, instrumentalists, and artists hired by Park City Opera. It is built on the following principles:

  • Community-Centered: We are committed to hiring local artists with a connection to our community, as well as introducing national talent to Park City. In turn, our artists believe in making opera more approachable and play an active role in cultivating a sense of community around our performances.

  • Lasting Relationships: We believe in rehiring artists. Strong relationships between artists and our organization lead to better, more cohesive performances. When artists are familiar with our culture and expectations, they can deliver their best work.

  • Support and Inclusion: We are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive working environment. Our artists contribute to this environment with an ethos of mutual respect and open communication.

Hear it from our artists:

“Park City Opera provided an incredibly supportive and professional environment throughout my contract. The team was organized, communicative, and truly invested in the success of every artist. I especially appreciated the high-quality productions and the opportunity to perform in beautiful venues that brought out the best in our work. The sense of community among artists and staff made the experience both inspiring and enjoyable. Overall, PCO offered a rewarding balance of artistic challenge and personal support, making it one of my favorite contracts.”

“To be greeted with sold-out crowds for every performance of Barber was exciting, and this is only the beginning. As a Utah resident, I'm so glad that there are more local places to share my love of classical music!”

— Ensemble Member

“PCO clearly valued the musicians hired and showed support from day one to closing for the orchestra. I always knew that I was a valuable member of the production, and that is not the case with every gig! Very grateful to PCO and inspired by their drive, they are creating something very special here in Utah!”

“Park City Opera is just about the most artist-friendly company that I have ever worked for. Everyone on the team is either a singer or conductor, so they understand what it is to meet the demands of performing opera. From mindfulness of our vocal health during the rehearsal process to making us feel supported during the performances, the PCO team was always doing everything they could to help us be our best. Thank you all so much for such a fantastic experience!”

I believe that the focus on community that PCO strives for is clearly evident in the care in every facet of my time here.”
