Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit with Park City Opera’s inaugural winter mainstage production, David Conte’s The Gift of the Magi.
Based on the classic short story by O. Henry, The Gift of the Magi is a heartfelt holiday gem by American composer David Conte and librettist Nicholas Giardini. Set on Christmas Eve, this opera tells the tender story of Jim and Della, a young, loving couple with little to their names who each sacrifice their most prized possession in order to buy the other a meaningful gift—only to discover that love itself is the greatest treasure.
This performance will take place at Park City Community Church. The opera will be performed in English with supertitles. The performance’s runtime is under two hours, including intermission, and is perfect for the whole family – kids under 10 enter for free. Doors open at 6 PM for a 7 PM performance.
Member presale begins on September 15. Tickets go on sale to the general public on October 1.
